Three Announcements in Three Days – Part Three!

For the second year in a row Meteor House has released two books at FarmerCon! The second book this year is also the second in our series of Signed Limited Edition novellas, The Scarlet Jaguar by Win Scott Eckert. This novella is the exciting sequel to The Evil in Pemberley House by Philip José Farmer and Win Scott Eckert.

You can listen to Win read the opening chapter from the novella by clicking here.

Our first Signed Limited Edition novella, Exiles of Kho (now out of print), had a print run of 200 copies. While The Scarlet Jaguar’s print run is bigger, at 225 copies, the end result is the same. After mailing the books that were preordered, and selling stacks of them at FarmerCon, we only have a short supply of copies remaining for sale.

However, there is one slight difference, as we’ve suffered a bit of a mishap, and our misfortune is your opportunity.

As we were unpacking the books after FarmerCon, we discovered that fifteen copies of the book were damaged. The damage comes in the form of pen marks on the edge of the pages. The good news for you is that we are selling these (ever so slightly) damaged copies at 33% off! That’s right, you can order one of these copies of The Scarlet Jaguar for only $10 (plus shipping)!

Or better yet, buy a pristine copy for full price ($15). Either way, don’t wait long, we expect The Scarlet Jaguar to go out of print even faster than Exiles of Kho did!

Three Announcements in Three Days – Part Two!

The release of Meteor House’s Deluxe hardcover edition of Philip José Farmer’s Doc Savage: His Apocalyptic Life at FarmerCon VIII was a resounding success! The stack of books on our dealer table kept shrinking faster than we could restock it.

Our thanks to the PulpFest organizers for including us in their programming so we could talk about all of Philip José Farmer’s Doc Savage work, from the biography, to pastiches, to authorized novels. This year’s theme was a great fit for us, and you can listen to the panel here.

There is no question that part of the book’s success was the fact that six of the seven contributors of bonus material were on hand to sign the book!

Win Scott Eckert, Will Murray, John Allen Small, Rick Lai, Art Sippo, and Christopher Paul Carey all signed the copies we brought; only Keith Howell was absent, but maybe he’ll make it next year (hint, hint).

Of those signed books, most had been preordered prior to FarmerCon and have been shipped to their purchasers. The majority of the remaining copies were sold at FarmerCon. However, and here is the—

There are signed copies left for sale. These are available first come, first served, and there is no extra charge! This is the best deal you’re going to find all year! What are you waiting for, click on this link and order one now before they’re all gone!!!

Three Announcements in Three Days – Part One!

Meteor House has published three books in 2013 (so far), our most productive year to date. We will make an announcement about each of these three titles over the next three days. Without further ado, announcement number one…

As of today, all preordered copies of The Abnormalities of Stringent Strange, by Rhys Hughes, have been mailed! After many delays we settled upon a Signed Limited Edition of 88 copies. And for no reason other than Rhys wanted to, each copy has been named after one of the 88 Constellations! We have a few signed/constellationed copies left, but we don’t expect them to last very long, so get one while you can.

Still on the fence about whether or not you want grab a copy of what—at only 88 copies—is bound to become a rare collector’s item? Check out this gestalt real-time review in two parts by Des Lewis: Part One and Part Two. Or reread this previous review by Dave Brzeski from The British Fantasy Society.

And if you missed it before, Christopher Paul Carey interviewed Rhys Hughes about the book at SF Signal.

Before we end this love fest let’s take a moment to comment on the cover art by Keith Howell. We’ve always thought the cover looked great on a computer screen. But live and in person, this cover is gorgeous! It jumps out at you from across the room!

So this is it, possibly your last chance to get a Signed Limited Edition copy of this brilliantly weird comical metafictional romp. Grab one now while you still can!
