Meteor House is thrilled to celebrate Philip José Farmer’s 107th birthday by debuting our first title for 2025, Time’s Last Gift!

Time’s Last Gift is a prequel to Farmer’s Ancient Opar series and a big fan favorite. Originally only published in paperback (Ballantine, 1972), Time’s Last Gift, has been reprinted many times through the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s, but always in paperback.

Meteor House is proud to give Time’s Last Gift the hardcover limited edition it deserves, with stunning cover and interior art by Bob Eggleton. This edition also features substantial bonus material by Famer experts.

  • An introduction, “The Great Escape,” by Paul Spiteri
  • An Afterword, “Gribardsun and the Wold Newton Family,” by Christopher Paul Carey
  • “Gribardsun through the Ages: A Chronology of Major Events Pertinent to Time’s Last Gift,” by Win Scott Eckert and Dennis E. Power

Available in both a Trade Paperback and Signed Hardcover Limited Edition (signed by Eggleton, Spiteri, Carey, Eckert, and Power), the hardcover features a leatherette cover with gold foil stamping and custom printed color end papers. This is another high quality collectible in the tradition of Meteor House’s prior limited edition hardcovers.

As always the print run of the Signed Hardcover Limited Edition will be determined by the number of preorders we receive. We’re taking preorders now and both editions will ship in June 2025.
